ABOUT

Using adjustable springs and bars, the class provides both support and resistance, allowing for a wide range of exercises that target deep stabilising muscles while improving posture and alignment.

This class is suitable for all levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Movements can be easily modified or progressed based on individual ability, making it an accessible yet challenging session for everyone. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, Tower Pilates offers a balanced workout that builds core strength, coordination, and body awareness in a supportive environment.

Reformer Pilates vs Tower Pilates

While both Tower and Reformer Pilates use spring resistance to build strength and control, they offer slightly different experiences:

Tower Pilates is performed on a stable, mat-based platform with a vertical frame (the “tower”). The fixed base allows for greater focus on alignment, control, and muscle engagement, often making it feel more grounded and supportive—especially for beginners or those refining technique.

Reformer Pilates uses a moving carriage, which adds an element of instability and flow. This challenges coordination and balance, while allowing for more dynamic, continuous movement sequences.

Both methods are highly effective; Tower Pilates is ideal for building strong foundations and precision, while Reformer Pilates offers a more fluid, dynamic workout. Incorporating both into your routine can provide a well-rounded Pilates practice.
